The original Dingiswayo was a 19th century Mthethwa chief who spent some years in exile, getting exposed to European military ideas. Whilst in exile his life was saved one night by a young boy who later grew up to become Shaka – the great king of the Zulus. He later went on become a mentor to Shaka, using the knowledge he had gained in exile to provide a strategic advantage to the legendary king.
Dingiswayo Mark 2 is also a South African, now living in a village in rural Kent in the UK. He continues to be fascinated by the differences and the similiarities between people all over the world. He has strong feelings about Springbok rugby, Valentino Rossi, Spitfires, conspiracy theorists, and curry.
He thinks he and Dingiswayo Mark 1 might have been friends.
